Drink Up!

I use to be addicted to Diet Coke, but years ago I gave it up along with other sodas. Nowadays I opt for unsweetened ice teas, sparkling water or coconut water. I’ve been a little more conscious of what I eat and have actually lost a good amount of weight in the past year, so this new lifestyle is something I’m keeping. Fortunately I’ve found my soda replacements with the above drinks I mentioned, but energy drinks are a whole other story.

I love my Gatorade, but the amount of sugar and who-knows-what ingredients is probably not something I should be drinking. But sometimes you just want some flavor in your drink, don’t you? I managed to sample Little Miracles new energy drinks and was actually pleasantly surprised. They’re organic, about 90 calories and they’re actually tasty {As someone who loves flavor, this part is crucial}.

I was able to sample Lemongrass Tea with Ginseng, Black Tea and Peach, Green Tea and Pomegranate, and White Tea and Cherry as Little Miracles was kind enough to send me some samples.  I actually ended up enjoying all the flavors. My favorite was the White Tea & Cherry. It tastes sweet and refreshing with no bitter after taste that most healthy, organic drinks have. Maybe that’s the “little miracle” they’re talking about? Because let’s face it, it’s difficult to find healthy, flavorful anything sometimes.

I found that the drinks had a hint of each ingredients listed and all blended well together. My least favorite was Lemongrass Tea with Ginseng, while it was refreshing, it contains ginger which I’m not a fan of. But if you love ginger, you’d probably enjoy it. I’m glad I had the opportunity to test them out. Little changes are a good thing. Now if someone could just create a much healthier version of pizza, that would be great!

Do you have any go-to healthy drinks that you recommend? I’d love to know!
