I’m a big fan of street art and luckily Los Angeles has plenty of it. A couple of weeks ago my husband I spent the day in the Art District exploring and taking a few pictures. If you’re ever interested in partaking in a walking art tour they have an LA Art Tour you can pay for and I believe there may be a couple of others, but honestly you can go on your own art walking tour adventure.
We parked by the Arts District Brewing Company, which is a really rad place to go to, if you haven’t been. It gets crazy packed at night, but its perfect for groups offering great drinks with large TVs hung on the walls and games like darts, ping pong, corn hole and skeeball. Parking there was easy on an mid Sunday morning.
We walked down Traction Ave towards 3rd street and began exploring the art along the walls, there’s a lot to look down Traction Ave along with eateries and fun shops. Below were some of my favorites.
“Welcome to Hollywood” by Kim West
“Untitled” by Vyl + Risk
“Girl Blowing Bubbles” by Kim West
“The Wrinkles of the City” by JR
“Heart of the City” by Antigirl
Exploring the Art District made for such a fun little day-date. We stopped into Wurstkuche for a quick bite. The menu offers up some unique hot dogs and being in an adventurous mood, we chose to order the rattlesnake & rabbit with jalapeno peppers hot dog and it was delicious. I highly recommend trying it. I would have probably never would have ordered that on my own, but luckily my husband loves to try new things.
