The Pint House is one of my favorite gastropubs in Orange County. It’s easily become my husband and my go-to when we’re looking for a great place to grab some drinks.
The one I frequent is in Orange, it’s stylish with dim lighting, dark wood, tables, perfect for a date or a small group outing. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays and the bands have never disappointed. Playing current hits, 90’s hits, oldies, jazz, soul, alternative, you name it. If the music is too loud, you can always move to the patio to enjoy the breeze and their delicious cocktails or draft beers.
The food is top notch, like many gastropubs their burgers are a must. Cooked perfectly with all the right toppings. The serving sizes are insane, so I would consider their prices and quality/quantity of food quite fair. Only thing I’ve felt kind of “meh” about was their Asian salad, but perhaps it was because my husband ordered their Napa burger (which is a must-try), so naturally my salad couldn’t compete. However their steak salad? Out of this world delicious.
Service has always been great. They don’t bug you every 15mins making you feel as though you’ve overstayed your welcome. It has this great lounge vibe that not too many places have. The crowd is mixed and easy going, which is just my style.
They offer great specials during the week like Happy Hour and Industry Night etc, many of which I have yet to experience since I work late. However they have Happy Hour all day on Sunday -$3 drafts, specials on other drinks and appetizers, which I really enjoy.
TIP: Ask for the Happy Hour menu on Sunday, they may not hand it to you automatically. If you enjoy live music be sure to go on Friday or Saturday nights, bands start playing at 8pm.
NOTE: As always, all local spotlights are my personal opinion and are not sponsored. I only feature what I would recommend.
